MRFA EDUCATIONAL & SOCIAL ACTIVITIESIn the Mayo Research Fellows' Association, our academic activities focus on professional development and orienting our members to Mayo resources. In conjunction with the Life after Graduate School Program, we have a quarterly seminar series that will prepare us for jobs after our research training is complete, as well as prepare us on how to survive once a job is obtained. MRFA also hosts seminars given by departments such as the International Personnel Office, the Research Computing Facility and core centers to ensure that research fellows can make the most of their time at Mayo. In addition to our academic activities, we host a monthly coffee break, which is a forum to socialize with other Fellows and for members to bring concerns to the MRFA leadership. Other social events hosted by MRFA include picnics, pizza parties, and receptions. |
