NIH-funded post-doctoral position in vascular biology is available to study the coronary microcirculation and its impact on atherosclerosis progression. The overall objective of our research is the non-invasive detection of vulnerable plaque. Several diabetic and surgical animal models some of which have been developed in our laboratory and cardiac human tissue provide a unique opportunity to study and image atherosclerosis. The position will use new x-ray/CT imaging methodologies and conduct related image analysis to extract various biomedical data. Familiarity with histological methods, knowledge in data and statistical analysis would be ideal
