RCF COLLABORATIVE CONSULTING RESOURCE

GENERAL DESCRIPTION

The Collaborative Consulting Resource (CCR) is an in-house consulting firm that specializes in software and database development.

Mayo investigators may hire the CCR to design and develop custom-built programs when no off-the-shelf software fits their needs.

THE PROCESS

1. Together the CCR and client discuss what the software should do.
2. The CCR sends the client a proposal, including a project plan that's based on the project's scope, requirements, timeline, and estimated cost.
3. The client reviews the propsal.
4. If the client accepts the proposal, the CCR designs and develops the software according to the requirements laid out in the plan.
5. When the project is finished, clients may also purchase a service contract from the RCF to receive ongoing technical support for the software.
