My research interests center around two major issues. First, I have a particular interest in viral hepatitis. I have published on cost-effectiveness of treatment for viral hepatitis and participated in many treatment protocols, both within Mayo Clinic and as part of multi-center trials. In addition, I have been interested and have published in recurrence of viral hepatitis following liver transplantation. I also have clinical research interests in other topics centering around liver transplantation.

Second, I am also interested in research as it pertains to education.
